Twenty-seven years ago, I took off on a road trip from a dusty beach town in South Jersey with my now-husband Michael. I wasn't sure how it would all end...it turns out it was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my entire life! We ended up in the Colorado Rockies and have been living the dream ever since...right here in Georgetown. I'm a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and lived in Fort Collins for about 4 years of my time in CO. I also lived in Breckenridge for two years, and I've traveled extensively in Colorado and the West. I truly feel that Georgetown & all of Clear Creek County is one of the very best communities in this amazing state.

As a full-time mom raising my children here in town, I came to appreciate all that the mountains have to offer families. The schools, services, views, parks, lake and streams, weather, & people. I truly never wanted to live anywhere else. I always tell newcomers that Georgetown is the best place to live, work, and raise a family. It's 100% true! I worked for Historic Georgetown for over 10 years and loved learning about the history of the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District. It truly gave me a greater appreciation for the tenacity of this little mountain mining town. And I met a ton of people in my community through the work I did for that non-profit. Today, My husband is a teacher in Clear Creek County & has been for the last 25 years. We've raised our two beautiful children here and feel blessed for clean air and water. My daughter Magdalena, a CSU biology grad, will turn 23 this year and brings pure joy to my husband and I through her humor, her values, & her love of life. My son Joseph will turn 18 this year and is a true mountain kid, following in his dad's footsteps as an avid mountain biker, skier, hockey player, and all-around outdoor enthusiast. His kind and thoughtful nature makes us so proud! Our Golden Retriever Rosie rounds-out our family. Together we love to ski, hike, bike, camp, and enjoy our many mountain hobbies at 8,519 feet in elevation. This place has taught us a lot about life, happiness, love, and freedom. We wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China! In my free-time, I relish the opportunities spent in solitude in my garden. I am also a mountain beekeeper and chicken-keeper (is that a thing?) and love to spend quiet time with my buzzing and squawking pets. I basically try to live a simple mountain life, taking as little as I can from the earth while trying to give back as much as I can to the future sustainability of our planet.

For the last 14 years, I've worked in Real Estate and Property Management in Clear Creek County. My community has dramatically grown since we first landed here 22 years ago, and I love helping people find a place to call 'HOME', whether that's a rental property or a purchase. It brings me such fulfillment to help other people realize their mountain dreams!  A few years ago, I went Indie and opened my own real estate brokerage firm in Georgetown: Two Rivers Real Estate. It was the best decision I could have made for my career. I've begun building a strong property management component to my company including short-term vacation rental management, long-term management, & Community Association Management (HOA management), and I look forward to welcoming new residents & visitors to Clear Creek County. I hope to lend my local real estate knowledge and experience, all with a smile, to YOU once you decide to move to the mountains. What are you waiting for??

AND WE ARE SO THRILLED TO WELCOME LAURA COMBRINK-HOWSE TO OUR GEORGETOWN OFFICE!!

I was born and raised in South Eastern Michigan in the small town of Clarkston by two loving parents, a mother at home and a father in the auto industry. Living in a rural area, I enjoyed many outdoor advertures surrounded by lakes and parks where I fell in love with horses and ski racing. This upbringing inspired me to relocate to Telluride, CO to become a ski instructor in the winter and work for the United States Forest Services as a Wilderness Ranger in the summers. With the love of the outdoors, I went on to earn a B.A. in Natural Resources, Recreation & Tourism with a concentration in Geology and Environmental Education at Colorado State University. GO RAMS!

Upon graduating from CSU in 2000, I earned myself a position as a Land Use Planner for Clear Creek County. I soon purchased my first home in Saint Mary’s Glacier and have resided in Clear Creek County ever since. Clear Creek County has proven to be a wonderful place to raise my two children with all that the area has to offer. I keep busy with skiing/snowboarding, hiking, music festivals, theater and team sports.

I found my love for Real Estate as a Real Estate Assistant in both Telluride and Clear Creek County and decided to obtain my own license in 2010. I am committed and dedicated to my clients and am a passionate agent who is committed to excellence. Experience with mountain properties is unique, and my clients will tell you that my dedication, attention to detail and market knowledge are second to none.

“When you fall in love with a place and get to know it as well as I have, you want to share your knowledge and experience with others to help them find the same success and happiness.”
